Swimming with the Leahy's

Today I went swimming with Jami and her boys Luke and Reid! We went to the Lifetime fitness near her house since we are both members. Luke was a bit tenative since it is early in the swimming season but warmed up like a champ and showed off some skills! Reid was all smiles and enjoyed the water too. I am sure there will be more swim dates as the summer heats up!

Last night was the first class of a six week class of tennis lessons. The lessons are through the City of Phoenix and are Tuesday evenings 6:30pm-8:00pm. I definitely like the forehand better and struggled a little with the backhand. I have to say though for the first lesson I was pretty pleased. After this class is over my next stop is Wimbledon!

a GRAND trip

This weekend was our Hike For Discovery trip to the Grand Canyon! It was a wondeful trip. It started with an inspiration dinner where we had speakers and some Indian dancers for entertainment. The hike was on Saturday and we lucked out with weather. It snowed the night before but Saturday it was cold in themorning but the afternoon but warmed up nicely! The Canyon was breathtaking! It was exciting to be part of the 1% of visitors to the canyon that actually HIKE in it and spend more than the average 18 minute visit! Saturday night we had a celebration party and then came home Sunday! All in all...It was a GRAND weekend!!

Grand Canyon here we come!!

It is finally here....our Hike for Discover group is leaving this Friday morning to go hike the Grand Canyon. We will leave Friday morning and stop in Sedona for lunch and then continue up North. We have an inspiration dinner on Friday night, our hike on Saturday and then a party Saturday night. We will then sleep in a little and leave the canyon around 11:00 am to head home on Sunday. The weather up there will be much cooler since they are expecting lows in the 20's and highs in the 40's or 50's. We better layer!! I'll post pictures when I get home!!
