Last weekend I took a trip to one of my favorite places on Earth....Napa Valley! Just being there puts a smile on my face. We arrived late Thursday night and started Friday off with breakfast at the coffee house in St. Helena. We then had a tour and tasting at Rombauer. Perfect way to start the trip. We then went to lunch at Cindy's backstreet kitchen with Koerner and his wife Sandy. It was so fun to get to spend time with them as they truly are family to me! Can't believe we have been friends with the Rombauers for over 25 years! After a great lunch, we drove up to Frank Family and had a great tour and barrel tasting there. After going back to the house to rest a bit, we headed down to Yountville and enjoyed a great dinner at Bottega! (For those of you who watch the food network this is Michael Chiarello's place and he has a show on the food network as well as his own line of olive oils etc.) It was yummy!!
Saturday we had a great breakfast at one of my favorite places, Meadowood! We sat on the patio and enjoyed the beautiful temperatures and delicious breakfast. Then Steve and Linda went to watch the world cup match. (Steve is a die hard soccer fan and couldn't miss it) So Justin and I went to a tasting at Duckhorn and then to an estate tour and tasting at Kuleto. I had never been to Kuleto before and WOW! It was beautiful and I would highly recommend that to anyone going. The drive there is amazing and the property is really something else! On the drive up you see a house way off in the distance on top of a hill and it is Oprah's! Not to shabby! We finished off Saturday night with dinner at Martini House in St. Helena. Sunday we got up early to hit the road and get to the airport. A fun trip that was far too short!

All of us with Koerner Rombaur! One of my favorite people!
