Out of Africa but In Arizona

Last Saturday my friend Carrie and I drove up North to go to the Out of Africa wildlife park. Neither one of us had ever been and now that the weather has cooled off, we thought it would be fun. We both loved it! For those of you living in AZ, with or without kids, if you haven't been you should put it on your list of places to go. They had all sorts of animals and there was a "safari" ride where the animals came right up to the bus and you could feed them. My favorite was the Tiger Splash where some of the park workers swam with the tigers in the pool.

We got to see Boom Boom the rhino. We were told that Boom Boom used to live in NY and when the park he lived at closed, he was sold to a farm in Texas where people can pay to go hunt big game animals. In other words...he was going to die! The founder of Ecko clothing agreed to buy him and Out of Africa agreed to build an enclosure for him to live out his life! Now he has it made!

It was a fun day and I am glad we went!
